#herHACK
#herHACK is an initiative aimed at encouraging more women to discover tech, to dare to take part in hackathons and to consider a transition to IT careers. The project is aimed in particular at women who are changing careers, women who are curious about tech or women who want to explore new career prospects. The aim is to create a framework that is accessible, caring and practical, with upskilling and networking opportunities and an annual hackathon as a highlight. The initiative is supported by the Federal Office for Gender Equality and La Poste.
The first event Not courage. Audacity will take place on 16 June at 42 Lausanne. It is a moment of inspiration and preparation ahead of the #herHACK hackathon.
The aim of this first session is to get participants to see courage not as an innate quality reserved for a few, but as a skill that develops and strengthens with experience.
During this workshop, participants will be invited to:
explore their own experiences of courage and the lessons they learn from them;
identify the brakes and limiting beliefs likely to influence their choices;
gain a better understanding of the mechanisms that foster self-confidence and a sense of personal efficacy;
formulate their own motivation through the question: "I would take part because...";
create initial links with other women interested in careers in technology.
This approach aims to strengthen participants not only in their understanding of the opportunities offered by tech, but also in their confidence, posture and ability to take the step towards a training path or career in digital.
