Cité des Métiers de Genève
42 Lausanne had the pleasure of taking part in the Cité des Métiers in Geneva on the IT stand, alongside the CFPT Centre de Formation Professionnelle Technique and the Groupement Romand de l'Informatique.
A large number of visitors came to talk to the teams and students at 42 Lausanne about training courses, digital careers and changes in the technology sector.
Questions at the heart of the transformations in tech
Discussions focused mainly on changes in IT skills, the impact of artificial intelligence and new teaching approaches adapted to the realities of the sector.
Among the most frequently asked questions:
How is 42's pedagogy evolving with new technologies?
How is 42's pedagogical model different?
How is 42 Lausanne integrating artificial intelligence into its curriculum?
What links exist between the school and companies?
These discussions provided an opportunity to present the foundations of 42 Lausanne's teaching model:
A nimble and scalable pedagogy, capable of adapting quickly to technological change and new digital challenges
A peer-to-peer based approach, encouraging autonomy, collaboration and practical problem-solving
Projects carried out with companies throughout the course to expose students to the realities of the field
Integrating issues related to artificial intelligence into teaching projects and apprenticeships
A strong focus on digital professions
This year's Cité des Métiers also confirmed the public's growing interest in tech professions, alternative training pathways and skills linked to artificial intelligence.
Exchanges with students from 42 Lausanne enabled visitors to discover in concrete terms a different way of learning computer science, centred on practice, projects and collaborative learning.
