Project to improve email processing by the Infomaniak teams

Issues

  • Business customers spend too much time sorting through emails; important events and tasks are missed.

  • Need a fast, privacy-friendly way to categorise messages, detect events and extract tasks, without changing the existing user interface.

Technical solutions

  • A team of students from 42 Lausanne used Infomaniak's Mail + LLM APIs and a Chrome extension to add AI functionality directly into the current interface.

  • Features delivered: classification of emails by type/sensitivity, event detection with calendar draft, task analysis, daily recap.

  • Lightweight prototype in Streamlit + extension; data protected.

Deliverables

Three customer experience improvement projects delivered to Development teams:

  • Automated email sorting, customisable by project.

  • Detection and management of risky messages (harassment / discrimination).

  • Optimisation of the development interface.
